#5 The Horses Of Neptune

Davide Giannetti

Once, the God of the Sea, Neptune was traveling from his domain to another place in his chariot with nine white horses. While passing the mouth of the Rhone, he met a farmer who was having trouble with a black bull: “Here is my best horse; if you know how to make him a friend, he will be an irreplaceable ally against the black bull. But remember, he comes from the immensity of the sea and he was led by a god: it will be necessary, when he wants, to let him free to come and deeply breathe his marine and divine origins.” This became the legend of the Camargue Horses.

Davide Giannetti who is an Italian outdoor photographer carried on research to get the perfect photograph to fathom out the importance of the undertaken path. He tried to communicate the authentic sense of his journey and the amazing bond between nature and humans through his photography.

#10 Childhood Days

Alvis Lazarus

The world stands still with the rise of Covid, but not the emotions of nature. These shots of the chicks took me back to my childhood. Sitting there and watching them the whole day is priceless. All the chicks were shy and they only peeked through their mom’s feathers at the beginning. All the time they go around their mom and sleep under her belly cuddling for warmth and love. They learn all the tender sweet moments while playing in the water with siblings, vital lessons on food selection, the art of preening, and shivering in strain. All these incidents made me realize the truth that our childhood is awesome with mom taking care of us.

Alexandru Popovski

“I am a landscape photographer from the Republic of Moldova. Though I started my career at the department of human resources in a financial company I used to love the field of photography due to the inspiration I received from the surrounding with my arrival to Key West. Water became the main subject of my photographs.”

#24 Emperor Penguins

Thomas Vijayan

I had to lay down to shoot this image at the moment. Don’t you ask me why I laid down just to take a photograph? That is for them to feel less scared for humans. However, this penguin family spent a wonderful time beside me. Although it was a tiresome 8-hour long journey for me that day, I too received an amazing experience. I’m Thomas Vijayan from Kerala, India, which is also known as God’s Own Country. Though I was raised in Bangalore now I’m settled with my family in Canada. Photography is my passion and not the profession. My favorite subject of photography is big cats. For me, each click is something new and not perfect. The term perfection isn’t there in my field of passion. I value the quality rather than the quantity.

#29 Misty Bromo

Rudy Oei

#30 Desert Portraits

Anthony Lamb

This particular photographer has been capturing the deserts of the UAE for more than 5 years. But, at the moment he visited the same areas to capture these shots he realized the vast amount of changes that have taken place. He had seen the roots of the trees and shrubs exposed to the Sun. The areas were experiencing irresistible summer heat as well as freezing evening temperatures during the winter season. For him, this had been a glimpse of a struggle of plants for their survival in the harshest environments. Therefore, he had come up with several photographs that incorporate a minimalistic approach within his career of photography. As a result, imagery has become less but the emotional state has risen. Especially, his ethereal aesthetic touch and negative space provide us a sense of serenity and calm. His work is further smoothed by the pastel expressionism that is offered in his post-production.
